The Old Northside Foundation recently applied for and received Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits in the amount of $7,119.00, which will mean a total fundraising of $14,238.00 if all credits are sold. The NAP tax credits help the Foundation raise money for certain neighborhood projects and improvements. The funds received pursuant to this year’s NAP credit award will be used primarily for improvements to the neighborhood parks, including new landscaping, reseeding, new tree planting, installing a free library, new lighting, repairing and painting fencing as well as installing new fencing.
These tax credits are distributed to donors at 50% of the contribution amount and are subtracted from a donor's state income tax liability. To illustrate, if a donor were to make a $500 donation to the Foundation, the donor would then receive $250 in state tax credits, which amount to a dollar for dollar reduction to the donor’s state tax liability. If you are a member of the Old Northside Neighborhood Association you are eligible to donate and receive NAP tax credits.
The minimum donation required is $100.00 and the maximum donation that will be accepted is $1,000.00 per donor. NAP credits are now available to all Old Northside Neighborhood Association members on a first come basis until sold out.
This is a great opportunity to support improvements to your neighborhood for half the cost! Please contact Hilary Barnes (email@example.com) if you are interested in purchasing NAP credits (i.e. making a donation) from the Old Northside Foundation pursuant to this year’s NAP credit award.
