This years Old Northside Spring Cleanup was a load of trash! Old Northsiders gathered at the Great Oak Commons Park on Saturday April 30 to help serve their community by cleaning up the streets and alleys of the Old Northside. Our service minded neighbors were greeted with donuts and coffee generously provided by our event sponsor the Rob Measel Team. This trashy work was only made possible with the support of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) and the Great Indy Clean Up and the dumpster, trash bags, and gloves they provide! When all was said and done, we had 45 neighbors join us for the cleanup and they collected 70 bags of trash. Now this trashy job couldn’t have been accomplished by the five zones leaders: Kathleen Kimble, Peter Jerkowitz, Nate Riecke, Kyle Robinson, and Derik Strenzel. These leaders also helped by using their trucks to move those 70 bags of trash.
Thank you to all of our volunteers who came out and helped up clean up the neighborhood!
For all of those that didn’t get a chance to come to the cleanup, you might want to check out our ONS at the Gallery event on June 2nd from 5-8PM at Gallery on 16th (319 E. 16th Street Indianapolis, IN 46202). The link to purchase tickets for this event can be https://www.oldnorthside.org/
