Pirate themed decor, food vendors, kid zone activities, live music and adult beverages made for a beautiful evening on Saturday September 10th as we hosted our annual Plunder in the Park event at Great Oak Commons Park. A huge thank you to everyone that joined us, we had over 350 attendees with many new faces that were first time attendees.
With a ‘drumroll’....Plunder in the Park 2022 raised almost $18,000 which will go toward maintaining the Old Northside neighborhood parks. This is great and continues to get us towards our annual fundraising goal of $25,000 for the year. We would like to thank the Rob Measel Team for being this years title sponsor, and all of the event sponsors that continue to help the Old Northside provide and maintain beautiful parks for our community.
With a heartfelt thank you to the planning committee who worked for months to plan all the event details, gather sponsors, work with vendors, and collect donations, we are grateful for all your planning abilities. Another big thank you to our event volunteers. Our community relies on the volunteers who help to put on such large-scale events. This event would not happen without the planning committee or the volunteers much appreciation to everyone involved. Finally, for those that attended the Plunder, we hope you had a great time and we'll see you again next year!
