The Old Northside Neighborhood Association created a Land Use Committee (LUC) to review all Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission (IHPC) applications for a Certificate of Appropriateness or Authorization within the neighborhood which require an IHPC hearing.
IHPC applicants are encouraged to meet with the LUC before submitting an application to IHPC. This allows the LUC to assist applicants and facilitate the process.
Interested Neighbors are encouraged to participate to show support or express concerns. The meeting is in the All Saints Parrish Building in the lower level. This is on the north side the church and the door face Central Avenue.
The committee can be contacted at email@example.com.
September Agenda as of 9/5/2018:
Item # 1 - 1340 N Park - Joe Fall - firstname.lastname@example.org
Item # 2 - 1455 N Alabama St - Brent Roberts - email@example.com
“To take over the property of 1455 N. Alabama with the intention of business use as an Event Property. The main focus being weddings and corporate dinners; with the idea of also giving back to the Old Northside Community with intimate gatherings and community involvement. Our hope would be to restore a dying landmark from the inside out. Off street parking would not be an option for our guests so we don’t impede upon the community; we will either hire an outside Valet service (especially for weddings and larger events) or partner with one of the local businesses within a mile for our parking needs. The property has roughly 40 spaces associated with address located on the east side which will be used for staff parking and immediate guests.”
Item #3 - 1542 Bellefountaine St - Allen Brown - Allen@indyblueprints.com
