    Marion County Public Health Department Covid-19 update  
    • Please find attached yesterday’s public health update along with an attached image on vaccine information. More information can be found here.
    Christmas Tree recycling is still taking place from now until January 31st
    • DPW is providing 8 different drop off location sties which you can find on the attached image.
    • Trees must be free of ornaments, tinsel, tree stands, and all other decorative materials. 
    Post Holiday Electronics Recycling Event
    • The Indianapolis Office of Sustainability (Sustain Indy) & RecycleForce are hosting a special post-holiday electronics recycling event at Krannert Park (605 S High School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46241). This will take place Saturday, January 23rd from 9am-2pm and will be free of charge. List of acceptable electronics can be found here.
     OPHS Announces Food|Comida|Rawl 317

    A new data collection effort that will form the basis for future food policy and programming. This project is an effort to better understand the consumer and food value chain experience in Marion County. Working throughout 2021, partners from the Indiana University School of Sustainable Food Systems Science, CollaboCreative, Butler University, and the Kephrw Institute will collect and analyze information from residents, local food businesses, and nonprofit organizations, as well as examine the secondary data and food environments throughout each of the 25 City-County districts in Indianapolis. The resident survey, focus group meetings, and additional information can be found here or attached pdf.

    Eviction Moratorium is set to expire on January 31st 
    • Indiana Legal Services is still providing assistance if residents are being wrongfully evicted by a landlord. The number to call for these services are  (317) 327-2228.

     DPW Indy Neighborhood infrastructure project applications will close  January 29th

    • This a matching grant that helps neighborhoods make improvements on new projects including roads, sidewalks, multi-use paths, and bridges. Application be found here.
